Reaching Out To Others.

As Emily was going through treatment, so many friends and neighbors reached out to us. Emily’s school mates and their families provided much needed comfort and support. People brought food to our house. Others changed their schedules in order to provide support as needed. A haircut? Someone to walk the dog? While our minds were racing elsewhere, there was always someone who answered a need – sometimes before we even recognized that we needed it! These were small touches sometimes – touches that meant the world to us. They gave us some semblance of real life in these crazy, stressful and hectic days. This is what we want to do for others – both in memory of Emily and because of Emily. We wanted to honor that Old Soul and keep her spirit alive.
